Victor Lay - General Manager
Victor Lay graduated from San Marcos University in Lima, Peru in 1964 with a Bachelor in Geological Sciences and in 1964 with a professional degree as a Geological Engineer. He is the General Manager, Peru of Veraz and serves as a member of the Supervisory Committee established under the Peru License. Mr. Lay has over forty years of oil and gas industry experience in South America, particularly in Peru. He spent twenty years working for various subsidiaries and affiliates of Occidental, ultimately as Vice President - Exploration of Occidental Peruana Inc., and is intimately familiar with the testing of and operations on Block 126. Mr. Lay has held advisory positions with Perupetro, and was most recently the President of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Geológico Minero y Metalúrgico (INGEMMET), the Peruvian Geological Survey.
